Instructions

Please read the following instructions closely

During this experiment, you will be asked to decide whether the audio is an animal or not for eighteen trials (plus two practice trials). Each trial will progress to the next automatically and will last around five seconds. There will be no pauses.

Before the audio plays, a series of hashtags (#####), and then a word will appear briefly on the screen. The words will be centered on the screen and look like the following:

The word will disappear and the audio will play automatically. The audio will last for two seconds.

Give the screen your full attention, listen closely, and press F if what you hear is an animal, or J if it is not an animal.

You should do this as quickly and accurately as possible. You do not have to wait for the audio to finish, as soon as you think it is an animal or not, press F or J.

When you are ready, click the Next button below to do a practice run.
